The indispensible foundation of medical activity
Classic university medicine also forms an indispensible foundation for the medical activity of the Aeskulap Clinic doctors. Only the combination of this knowledge and experience with the methods of complementary medicine leads to a holistic integrative approach.
Dual approach
We understand holistic medicine to be a harmonious combination of classic conventional medicine (university medicine) with the well-tried and established methods of complementary medicine. In our deliberations and treatments we grant a rightful place to both. Because of this, specialty expertise and infrastructure in conventional medicine are important to us. Both in the diagnostic and therapeutic sectors we have all the facilities and specialty expertise of a small hospital, to optimally respond to and treat, particularly the somatic issues of our patients.
High level specialty expertise
All self-employed physicians of our 25-member medical teams have the appropriate specializations and some long experience in conventional medicine. The necessary training in this area is carried out according to the guidelines of the medical specialty societies. For specialised requirements e.g. diagnostic radiology or ultrasound examinations we function with the appropriate specialty certificate. For some years, the Aeskulap Clinic has possessed the Swiss Medical Association recognition for the training of young physicians in general practice.
As much as necessary, as little as possible
In the conventional medical treatment of our patients we proceed in principle, according to the guidelines of the specialty societies. On the other hand we are also committed to make conventional treatment individualised and if possible economical. Our long-term goal is to replace current conventional medicine treatments e.g. medications, with the methods of complementary medicine.
We are especially careful and critical of the purely symptomatic approaches in orthodox medical therapy, as well as with measures that lead to suppression of self-healing. In addition to an intensive search to confirm the cause of the observed disorder, we try to reduce the existing symptoms with methods of complementary medicine.
