With heat against chronic illnesses

The passive overheating of the body is one of the oldest forms of naturopathy therapy  and has provon particularly well-tried and used in the treatment of complex chronic sufferings

Heating the body passively

Infrared body hyperthermia was developed in the 1960s in Germany by Heckel. In this procedure the human body is irradiated with a special infrared light that penetrates deeply into the tissues and leads to an increase in total body temperature. To prevent loss of the heat produced, the patient lies in an insulated cubicle that is placed over a hospital bed. During the whole treatment the patient is continuously monitored by trained staff.

Many effects of heat treatment

Total body hyperthermia leads to a progressive increase in body temperature. This thermal effect improves blood circulation, activates metabolism and the immune process, and supports regeneration.

Particularly in chronic illnesses

The hyperthermia procedure has proved to be an essential part of holistic therapy, particularly in the treatment of complex chronic ailments. Positive experiences have been especially shown in the following diseases:

  • Chronic inflammatory diseases of the  respiratory tract, intestine, bladder, prostate and ovaries
  • Allergic diseases such as asthma and atopic eczema
  • Rheumatic diseases of both an inflammatory and degenerative nature

An infrared hyperthermia treatment lasts two to three hours and is repeated several times, depending on the clinical picture.
