Inpatient treatment costs
The inpatient daily costs are subject to the insurance category and include medical, nursing, and hostelry services.
- General insurance: CHF 800/900/1025 + complementary medicine services (approx. CHF 200)
- Semi-private: approx. CHF 1'100 + complementary medicine services (approx. CHF 200)
- Private: approx. CHF 1'400 + complementary medicine services (approx. CHF 200)
Reimbursement of complementary medicine costs are as a rule not covered by insurance. For this reason there is calculated into each insurance category a daily sum of CHF 200 for complementary medicine services, and will be required from you as a prepayment. When you have supplementary insurance for complementary medicine you can claim a refund for part of the costs in your insurance claim process.
International patients
The above tariffs are valid for persons resident in Switzerland who have basic health insurance. For patients from abroad we are pleased to provide individual cost quotations.
You must provide evidence of insurance coverage or you must pay for the treatment yourself, in which case we require an advance payment.
What costs are covered by medical insurance?
Which costs are covered and to what extent is governed by your insurance reimbursement of costs letter. The reimbursement of costs is only decided after recognition of the so-called need for hospitalisation has been accepted by the insurance medical examiner, and is based on the request for cost reimbursement from your referring doctor. It is therefore important that the referring doctor’s letter contains detailed information about your health condition and the necessary holistic therapies.
As a rule health insurance companies agree to the costs of conventional medicine procedures. The costs of complementary medical services are only partially covered.
Prepayment
Pre-financing is intended to cover costs not directly reimbursed by health insurance. A detailed invoice for services you have received, and your advance payment, is provided to you at the end of your hospital stay.
